I am morbidly obese. It has caused diabetes and it certainly does not help my Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. I am taking steps to address my weight problem.
However, I would like to take this opportunity to clear something up.
This is Michelle Akers.
She looks to be in pretty decent shape. She was a professional soccer player. She won a world cup and is in the National Soccer Hall of Fame. Soon after she developed Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and had to retire. She’s even written a few books about her struggles with it.
CFS doesn’t seem to care how much you weigh. It is catalyzed by a retrovirus or infection and then once the condition sets in, your body stops using energy efficiently. Your cells leak energy.
Feel free to believe that I am tired because I am fat and lazy. But perhaps these information nuggets I have provided might change your mind. If I am approved for gastric bypass surgery I won’t be fat in a year or two. But I will still struggle with fatigue.
